The current Mecum auction May 12-16th, Indy 2015, has the expected incredible rides on offer, but I’ve chosen this 70’s hemi-Challenger, over the of the other rides available simply from the viewpoint of getting the most for your money.

This Challenger has an estimate of $200,000 – $250,000. There’s a 1967 Shelby 427 Cobra Roadster (call for an estimate), 70s Plymouth hemi-Superbird – estimate $375,000 – $450,000 and an ultra-rare 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda estimate – $600,000 – $800,000.
All of these rides being investment grade material.

The obvious choice would be probably the Cuda or the Shelby for the most worth, but I can’t help but think you could have almost 3 of the Challengers for the price of the Cuda or possibly the Shelby.
It really does depend on your priorities, tastes and how much you are willing to spend and it will always be the case where you could possibly buy a few rides for the price of one, but I would be more tempted to take the Challenger out for a ride or two then even risk a stone chip on the Shelby or Cuda.

However, when you are parting with this many dollars for a ride, you will be thinking of its increased value in a few years.
Decisions, decisions………. but this is part of the fun!

If money was no object, which one(s) would you buy?
Daydream for a while, decide, then comment below.
