Hot Wheels Fatherhood Event: Brings Male Role Models and Families Together

The eighth annual “Hot” Wheels Fatherhood Event and Car Show will be held on Sept. 18th, 2015, 4-7 p.m. celebrating ‘fathers who play an active role in their families.’

Muscle cars and classics will be on show, with trophies available for the winners on the day.

“The significance of men in the lives of families and young children is substantial,” said Sue Harvey, early childhood services director. The premise is to highlight male-involvement creates positive responses in children such as better performance in school and healthier behavior.

The event is free admission and will also feature community resources, games, activities maintenance tips on car safety.

This shows that nothing bonds families together more than a cruise in a muscle car or any car, for that matter.
Ask most people and they will have at least one standout memory from their childhood from a day out with the family in the car. You simply can’t do the same in front of your smart phone…………
