Ok, ok, ok, as Joe Pesci used to say in Lethal Weapon, this is a muscle car in the loosest sense of the word, but it does at least have a Dodge badge and you never know, keep this for a few decades, and it maybe worth alot of money!

Kidding aside, the mid-80s wasn’t the greatest time for muscle cars in general and the Dodge Omni is a very quirky vehicle indeed, with more to do with being a European compact than anything else. Being originally from UK, I actually owned the European version at the time, which was a Tolbot Horizon. One thing I remember about it was the odd first gear, which I think was called a ‘synchromesh’ which couldn’t be engaged until the car was stationary. Apart from that, a pretty reliable vehicle.

However, it’s this Dodge version which is the focus. As per the ad., the good and bad points –

‘The goods:
New Headgasket
New Timing Belt
New Thermostat
New Spark plugs/Cap/Rotor/Wires/Fluids.
Almost New KUHMO Performance Tires
Newer Monroe Shocks/Struts
Good stock Interior w/package tray.
All 4 outside door-handles work! (Omni joke)
Turbo is in great shape…No shaft play or leaks.

Bads:…… that I haven’t addressed yet. But I will continue to work on these one at a time when I get a chance.

**Body damage on right rear door/fender**
Clear coat is mostly gone
Old Vacuum line Leaks
Slight oil leak.
Slight Coolant leak at thermostat gasket.
No Headliner
Headlights only work on BRIGHT
Left blinker will not stay in left position when clicked. (Common for Omni )
No radio……(I’ll throw one in for free)
A/C removed by previous owner.(parts in trunk)

It does at least have a turbo and the present owner said he is driven it 15 miles, but no further. Thus, if you buy this ride, your better off turning up with a trailer.
