Is This The Best Speeding Excuse, ‘The Wind Was Pushing Me’

When caught speeding, the amount of excuses for why are probably as numerous as the offences themselves. However, the Australian police got possibly the best excuse ever from one driver.

After being pulled over by the police for going 10 mph over the limit, the unnamed driver told police, ‘The wind was pushing me.’ The Three Springs Police department shared their account on Twitter with the caption of ‘And the excuse of the day goes to…’
As you would expect the excuse didn’t wash well with the local police and the driver got a AU$200 driving fine and two points on his licence.

Many questions arise from this, which way was he being pushed?, was he speaking metaphorically?, did he just break wind? Many questions, little answers….. Don’t use this excuse yourself as you may end up also being pride of place on Twitter.
