Bar Talk: True Hot Rod Appeal

This is what we started out doing many years ago. Taking a cool car and making it much better. I would leave this alone, not paint it or change anything, except the title to my name.

I have been to shows like you and have seen perfect hot rods. Hot rods that gleam in the sun and the owner asks you nicely not to get to close. I would have sleepless nights and worry way too much. Trailer queen? Not this guy. Hot rods like the one in the picture fit this old guy perfectly. It’s loud, a bit worn, nobody is going to scratch it and best of all, if it rains I will not tear my hair out of my head. This is my kind of hot rod.

It’s strange how this type of basic Hot Rod or Rat Rod is becoming more appealing.
In our high-tech, electronic world, you’d think the opposite. Maybe it’s the simplicity of the vehicle. Maybe how much it stands out from anything else. For me, it’s all those things.

Just to have loud pipes, a fast, basic ca, and no worries is just the ticket for me and a lot of boys just like me.
