80s American cars are definitely increasing in value according to cargurus.com.

The 80s are not especially known to be the height of American cars, but these cars are becoming very collectable and sought-after vehicles.
Take the 87 Camaro IROC-Z. A great driving experience of the time and you really did feel proud to own one, if you had one at the time.
Personally, it was a late 80s Corvette that got me hooked on muscle cars. The rear of that model just looked gorgeous to me with the dual taillights and I wanted one!

The most common makes and models are in there as the cars to look out for, but also a few other vehicles of the time which may be not that obvious.
Chevrolet Corvette, Chevrolet Camaro, Jeep Wrangler, Ford Mustang, Chevrolet El Camino, Chevrolet Caprice, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Pontiac Fiero (yes, even this one!), Pontiac Firebird and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Like any decade, the 80s had their own style, which you may or may not agree with, but the cars of the decade have a distinctive look and that means in the future they will be collectable.

Keep adding wax to that Pontiac Fiero, you don’t know how much it will be worth in years to come!
