Recent research released by Experian Automotive, Sean latest figures of why the American public embraced the new crop of muscle cars.
Although some models are not strictly muscle cars, such as the Chevrolet Corvette and Dodge Viper, the figures show that across the board percentages of risen over the last nine years, showing people want their muscle cars.

In terms of registration volume, the Ford Mustang is the winner with 77,000 new registrations, with the Chevrolet Camaro in second place with 66,000, the Dodge Charger with 55,000, the Dodge Challenger with 50,000 and the Chevrolet Corvette at 32,000.

Obvious things like the up surge in popularity of the latest Chargers and Challengers, new Viper and Corvette owners are more likely to pay with cash, with what is of the country by the most types of car, e.g. the hotter states like Texas are more likely to buy muscle cars where they don’t have to deal with the bad weather.


The muscle car revival is still going strong and looks like it will continue for the next few years.
