This AMC AMX has the top 390ci V8 engine and although in good condition is said to not have run for 20 years. Along with the AMC Javelin, this was the sporty option from AMC which you can read more about here. At $3,245 it was $1000 less than its competitor the Corvette.
The car has a definite perchant for wood with plenty being on the dash and the beige interior at least blends in although not the first choice for many people. Its clearly in good condition as is the exterior, so its 20 year slumber is obviously been in good, well kept conditions.
The 390ci. engine originally produced 300 hp the problem with some tweaking, the engine could be brought back to its former glory. There’s plenty here for a nice restoration project with a solid exterior and engine.
