This is one incredible looking Ford Fairline GTA, which may not be a complete condition 1 vehicle, but it looks like it only needs minor work to get it into pristine condition.
This will probably fit into more of a classic collectors line up from looks alone, but the powertrain says different, where you can still hold your own in any drag race, you just wouldn’t want to chance it as it is in such good condition.

This is a whole of car for the money and considering the price some of its later counterparts fetch, you’re getting a whole lot of car for your money.

‘Drivetrain
Under the custom Thunderbolt hood it’s powered by a rebuilt 390 4V Thunderbird Special engine, with about 500hp. Paired up with a C6 Automatic transmission. New custom dual exhaust with headers. 9 inch rear end equipped with ladder bars and 4:11 gear. Cobra Lemans finned aluminum valve covers. Hi-rise Edelbrock Victor 427 aluminum intake with Holley double pumper carb topped off with a rare Holman and Moody air cleaner.

Interior
Beautiful black GT interior with bucket seats, floor console, tinted glass. Excellent condition with no rips or tears. Original AM radio.

Wheels
Brand new 15X7 American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, and BF Goodrich white letter tires.

Exterior
The body has good lines and fitment of the panels. Doors shut tight. The red paint is accented by black GT stripes. The paint looks slick with a good shine. There are a few paint flaws the biggest one needing some attention is on the passenger side quarter panel below the glass where a previous owner tried to sand down an imperfection. Front and back bumpers have been re-chromed. All the rest of the chrome and glass is in great shape. The bottom of this Fairlane looks good with what appears to be solid floors and sub frame. At some point the shock towers will need to be patched where someone in the past tried to install headers that would not fit.

Documentation & Door Tag
This car, built in Atlanta and shipped to Charlotte, has spent it’s entire life in North Carolina. I have the original window sticker, and original green 1966 NC title. Also have several prior year registration cards. Door tag is present. It decodes as follows:
