This is a fine 1970s Mercury Cougar, having been the winner of many car shows.
It comes with a Marti report, so everything is above board and correct with the car.
The advantage with these old Mercury Cougars is that they are not as sought-after as the rest of the muscle car fraternity. This means that you can get a classic era muscle car with all the fun that goes along with it, without having to pay astronomical prices for the all too rare optioned versions.
This one may not have all the rare options as the XR7 or similar, but it does have a reasonable 351cu Cleveland V8 engine and is a first generation.
You could buy a lot worse in the muscle car world, so shortlist this one as it’s a great all-rounder.
‘Up for sale is my beautiful 1970 Mercury Cougar. The car is in great condition, drives strong, with no issues. It is a California car, there are no rust issues. The interior looks as good as the exterior, no tears ect. The engine is a 351 Cleveland, runs very strong with no problems. The car has won several awards at car shows, have a Marti Report, and the original owners manual. It still has the original license plate from the Santa Ana Dealership it was purchased from. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.
Additional information on the Cougar. The hideaway lights work perfectly, all gauges work, front disc brakes, has a performance Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock carb, Flowmaster Exhaust,and Crager Rims. The car runs very well and sounds great. The A/C has been disconnected. The front end suspension is only 2 years old (new A-arms), the Power Steering Control Valve is new as are the hydraulic lines connected to it. The dash is original, with no cracks, the interior is in very good condition as well, no tears in the seats.’
