When Not To Take On A Car Project.

Here is yet another example of people gone out of there minds.
I stumbled across this on Craigslist and read the words, looked at the pictures and read the words again. The part that made me laugh was the statement that with a little work you could be cruising at cruise night soon. Did you look at these pictures? This car is shot. The body is falling off and the interior is terrible. Yet, this owner feels that a little work and you will be cruising very soon. Trust me, if you began a tear down of this rattle trap it would not be “soon”. It would be much later. I will predict you would tear it apart and soon realize you are way over your head. Unless you have some weird love affair with 75 Mavericks the project would spiral out of control and soon you would either; sell it as is and take a loss, or push it back into your garage and hope nobody ever saw it in your driveway to begin with.

My point is this. The Internet is full of dreamers, kooks, nutcases, and losers. Your mission if you decide to accept it is to really think this over before you plunk down $1500. Not that $1500 is a boatload of money but projects like this will have you miserable. If this were a Mustang, or a Charger, or maybe a 55 Bel Air the project would be worthy. Because when you are done you will have something of value. These Mavericks were in there day slow cars, rust prone, and the sales were never anything to be proud of. So, why in the world would you take on such a turkey? I am just being honest here and I know if it was your first car, or possibly had some sort of spot in your heart you may think it has value. Please think these through before you make a bad decision and end up worse yah you started. As for this guy selling this lemon? Best wishes, good luck, and God Bless you as you sir, will need the luck of the Irish to sell this at that price.

Up for sale is this 1975 Ford Maverick. This car will run and drive. However, it has not been on the road and driven regularly in the last couple of years. It has been started and moved on my property regularly and will do the same for you if you come to see it. With a little work this car could be a nice little classic for a cruise night, or a nice looking regular driver. It is green, with a black interior. The vehicle is equipped with a 250 6 cylinder motor and an automatic transmission on the column. This car has a clean title and is being sold AS IS. Contact me as directed by this post to arrange a time to see this car if interested.
