WelderUp Diesel Rat Rod Dodge Charger: Project OVERCHARGED

There are custom muscle cars, which usually stay along a theme and then there are projects such as this one, dubbed Project OVERCHARGED. If you have ever seen Steve Darnell and the guys from Vegas Rat Rods, you will know already that they don’t build cars in the conventional way.

All classic restorers will have to look away for the time being, but for everybody else this 1968 Dodge Charger has a 5.9L Cummins diesel engine with twin chain-driven superchargers, twin turbos, NV4500 transmission and most surprisingly, a custom 4×4 1 ton chassis. The muscle car come 4×4 is featured at King of the Hammers, an incredible off-road event, but I bet not many expected a vehicle such as this to turn up.


Check out the video to see the welder team manoeuvre this monstrosity, which should be an ideal vehicle if they ever make another Mad Max movie.
