Watch Awesome Dodge Viper ACR Take Down Another Lap Record

The Dodge Viper may be coming to the end of its production run, but that doesn’t mean it still doesn’t have some tricks up its sleeve, especially when it comes to record-setting. The guys from Gerry Wood Dodge dealership Salisbury, North Carolina used a Viper ACR at Carolina Motorsports Park and broke the production car lap record.

The Vipers zapped around the track in a time of 1.37.04, which was the fastest a production vehicle had gone around their track. The Dodge dealership itself Gerry Woods it’s probably one of the biggest sellers of Dodge Vipers in the south-east and hit the headlines last year when it ordered 135 Vipers before FCA stopped all orders. The Dodge Viper ACR is also going to be burning more records before its final day as a crowd funded take-back-the-ring-record effort is currently trying to gain back the production car lap record at the Nurburgring, Germany using two ACR Extremes. The Viper has already done the rounds of producing production car lap records at the likes of Laguna Seca, Gingerman Raceway, Buttonwillow, VIR, Willow Springs and Atlanta and is showing no signs of stopping.
