The Biggest all-Mopar Race Event Weekend

From 11th-13th September, Summit Motorsports Park, Norwalk, will hold one of the nation’s largest Mopar drag racing events.

‘It’s a three-day drag race, car show, swap meet and manufacturers midway. This has become the largest all-Mopar drag racing event in the world, actually.’
‘Last year we had 650 racecars, so that’s like double about what anybody else has. Also, it’s a combination of both street legal and all-out race (cars). So there are another 300 to 400 show cars on the property.’ said Monster Mopar Weekend Event Promoter Josh King.

Over the course of the weekend you should be able to see every type of Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth and Jeep, from the almost stock to the highly customised.

You should be able to see over the weekend everything from late 60s to early 70s muscle car was to the latest breed including charges, challengers and the new Hellcat.

“Most guys who come to this are going to be a car guy to some degree,” King said. “Maybe not to the extent of the real avid participant but we have the largest participation of heavy-powered superstock cars that everybody remembers from the nostalgic days in the early to late ‘60s.
