‘This beautiful car has been in my family since the early 90’s. It is painted in the factory correct Cordovan Maroon, a rare color this year I’m told. It is a very early build date with some of the oddities that go along with it, including the very rare 2-piece convertible top latches.
The restoration began approximately 10 years ago.
The car was stripped to bare fiberglass and painted with base coat/clear coat urethane.
All exterior chrome and emblems were either replaced with new or newly plated (with the exception of the die cast convertible latches on the pillars).
The 327 engine is correctly date coded for the car, but not the original. It was completely rebuilt from top to bottom, including an NOS quadrajet carb. The cam is the 350hp cam and thus a new B&M 2400 stall torque converter was also installed to match. It starts, runs, and drives well. The engine has maybe 10 hours of run time on it.
The interior was gutted and new seat foam, covers, carpet, trim, dash pad, etc were installed. The clock has the quartz conversion and runs well. It has the factory AM/FM radio and all of the indicators work well (door ajar, seat belt, and all fiber optics). The power windows work excellent and the door and window weatherstripping is new. The wheels are the factory correct 68 only 15×7 with the deep trim rings. The Super Sport Wide Oval redline tires were bought new from Coker and are in excellent condition. The top is fairly new, but there is one small slit on the passenger side as shown in the photos. Not pictured but included is the ignition shielding, a new antenna mast and cable, and new pull straps for the rear storage compartments.

Known issues:
The wiper motor is currently not working, hence the door open in the photos. The vacuum system was all working well until this happened. With the wiper motor not fully retracting, the door will not be allowed to close. The headlights work excellent and there are many new vacuum components installed.
There is a small leak on one of the power steering hoses.
There are a couple small chips in the paint that I have photographed the best I can. I have a complete touchup paint kit that will go with the car.

This car has spent the majority of the last 5 years in storage on the lift in the garage. I strongly encourage any serious bidders to view the car in person before committing to buy. It is a 47 year old car and it has not been driven regularly in recent years. This vehicle is sold as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. I have described the car to the best of my ability and will answer any questions you may have. It was my father’s car and he has passed away, therefore I must sell it.’
