How A stripe Makes A Muscle Car

We all know I love the old Mopar’s. I have one. Mine is a 69 Roadrunner. This is a 1970 plum crazy Road Runner and what sets this car off is very simple. No, not the 440 engine or the pistol grip. No, not the cool color of paint or the black interior. It’s the stripe.

Yes, a small stripe along most of our fast muscle cars really sets them apart. Not big flames or ghost flames. Just a simple stripe. And if it is painted on rather than a tape you really hit a home run. Now I love my ’69 but it’s the B5 blue. No stripe. I looked at a Hemi Orange ’70 before I bought my ’69 and sometimes I regret it. But, I love my ’69 and after all it is mine. However, for those of you that have a ’70 or may dive into the old Mopar world consider the stripe. Without it the car looks blank. With it the price goes up. Enough said?
