How A Screw Compressor Works

Superchargers are arguably one of the best ways to force air into an engine and the screw blower probably stacks up as being the best in its category. This type of compressor has many applications an industry along with sucking all the air from the atmosphere into an engine, such as in factories and industry, which is ironically the biggest application for these type of compressors. Supercharging an engine is ironically just one small part of the big picture of these companies.

The screw blower is actually banned from most drag racing classes, favoured more by the the Roots blower and this video will show you exactly why the screw version is a better proposition.
