Un-restored 1966 Fairlane 500 GTA Hardtop S code (390 cid).
335Hp, 427 ft.lb. of torque.
Holley 600 4-barrel carb with electric choke.

Body – 63D – 2 door 500 GT Hardtop
Color – M – Wimbledon White
Trim – 84 – Emberglo
Date – 01C – March 1st 1966
District – 22 – Charlotte N.C.
Axle – 4 – 3.25:1 Ford 9”
Trans – 4 – C6 Automatic XPL. (only in the GTA)
Caveats – The A/C is blowing, but not cold.
It has a power steering leak and a small oil leak.

It’s easy to get distracted by the more popular classic muscle cars and leave the more obscure models.
With that in mind, I came across this unrestored 1966 Fairlane 500 GTA.
The car is in great condition and as its one of the less sought after models, your regularly getting more for your money.
These cars were built for NHRA and IHRA Super Stock racing, so that have that racing heritage.
