1970 Challenger Convertible `N` Code 383 Big Block.
Price
$58,500.00

This ride is near to show condition, which is reflected in the price, but these challenges are increasing in price every year, Swiss small amounts of detailing work and other small jobs, you may have a great example here.

‘Dodge only made 115 Big Block (383) Base Challenger Convertibles. 84 automatics and 31 4 Speeds. This is rarer than 1970 R/T 440 and Hemi Cars. Car comes loaded with options Power Top, Power Locks, Power Windows, Power Steering, Heavy Duty Suspension, Big 11-Inch Drum Brakes, Slap Stick, Air, 8-Track, Rallye gauges, Special handling Car. (All documented on the original build sheet). Basically the car is a base challenger optioned out like an RT. Factory FE5 Rallye Red with Red Interior and White Top. Car was sold new in Dallas Texas and was sold by the second owner to the third owner with 51K miles in 1998. The third owner had it in Florida for a year then moved back to Tucson where it remained till 2010 when I purchased it with 71K miles. From speaking to previous owners it still has its factory drivetrain. The engine is all stock and has never been rebuilt. The second owner repainted the car and restored the interior as well as a new NOS top in the 1997 and 1998 time frame. The dash was redone by Just Dashes as well as the original interior rear panels. Since I have had the car I have been collecting NOS parts for the possibility of a concours resto someday. NOS parts I have are: Complete Grille Assembly, Marker Lenses, Left Tail Light Assembly, Back up Lense, Hood molding, Trunklid and quarter panel molding as well as various other parts totaling more than $8,000.00.

Overall the paint is about a 7 to 7.5 out of 10. Still has an excellent shine, the odd chip on the door edges but no dents. (I am a very particular guy). To some they may think it is an 8 to 8.5. The interior is in very nice condition and the original glass is too. The original grille is very nice with one minor ding (hardly noticeable). I had the bumpers rechromed in 2012 and added NOS bumper guards because I like the look. I have added Wheel Vintiques 15 inch Rallyes with NOS Sombrero Center Caps and rings, New Good Year tires and a white body line non-RT stripe. The car holds its own at any car show and the paint has held up surprisingly well for being done about 17 years ago. I have the original valve covers. The chrome ones were on the car when I bought it 5 years ago and haven’t changed them out.’
