A New Mustang GT500 With 800Hp?

The rumor mill is turning with the whispers of a new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 to reclaim the title of most powerful muscle car.

A New GT500 Mustang?
Back in 2014 the Mustang GT500 was the top rating with 662HP, before the Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat’s 707Hp and more powerful than the Chevrolet Corvette.
The GT350 did the job for most, but as the horsepower wars are now back, the GT500 needs to beat the current Hellcat and Camaro ZL1.

The rumor mill
It’s not a stretch to think that Ford want to top the other big two with the horsepower and torque ratings. However, like any rumor, it is just that at the moment, until verified.
But what can be believed is Ford are not going to rest on their laurels and let Dodge build on the success of the 707HP Hellcat engine or Chevy with the ZL1.
Something will come out which equal or better. The other two, but what matters at this point is down to the rumor mill.

Supercharged, twin turbo, is anyone’s guess, but the exciting thing is that the competition is on, which means more fun rides for everybody.
