Muscle Car Talk: Try A Convertible This Summer

Summer finally got here officially in June. It’s been hot and sticky and the whiners are out in full force. ‘It’s so hot, I’m tired, I am sweating,’ and so on. They already have forgotten the long cold winter. So, I saw this old Ford ad and thought this would be the way to remind the Wendy Whiners that it’s summertime again and its time to enjoy our cars to the full.

We want hot weather, we want to sweat, we go to the pool or lake. Nothing is better on a cool evening than to take a drop top out. Turn the stereo up louder than normal and hit the back, windy roads. Wear sunglasses and be prepared for kinks in your hair. Who cares?

The reason for including the Ford is also to show you that you can pick up a reasonable convertible for not much money.
Fox body Mustangs are plentiful and reasonably priced. As are most of the cars which are from the 80s and 90s. If you shop around, you can pick up a bargain, which will give you loads of fun over the summer.

Look at the Calender, summer is short. Whether you are twenty years old or fifty five years old we all can feel young again just by climbing into out classic cars and taking a cruise. Gas is cheap, the weather is good, so get off your rear end and let’s roll baby. Roll on down the road and take in all the sites. Go, go go. Before the snow snow snow.
