Loving Car Trucks Like The Ranchero and El Camino

I was never a fan of these truck cars but of late I have had a change of heart.
We have been through the pros and cons of the truck car or the car truck. It actually made me think about how many where made, what options, and how many might be left? Then, a few weeks later I see the 1960 at a local car show and it was like a magnet.

I love patina and this big old 60 was patina at its finest. The contrast between the two could not have been wider but I loved them both. I even took a weird step and asked the owner of the older one if he would consider selling it.
Of course he gave me the standard answer that if he could get stupid money he would. Well, I don’t have stupid money so I thanked him and walked away. But to see two beauties two weeks apart has me rethinking my stance. I love cars, and I love trucks so maybe I should consider one of these. I don’t haul anything heavy anymore so it might be perfect. The only thing I like better is the very early 60-62 Ford Falcon Ranchero’s. Something about those little tinker toys really intrigues me. So, as the car show season is on the decline for this year I am going to keep an eye out for a deal on one. I think it’s time to add one to the party if I can but one for not stupid money.
