LOST IN TRANSMISSION: Top Gears Rutledge Wood New Series

While Top Gear’s boat is still rocking a little after Jeremy Clarkson’s departure, Rutledge Wood has a new series on the History Channel, ‘Lost in Transmission.’

From the show’s description –
‘In each episode, Rutledge and George will rescue underappreciated examples of automotive styling that time has forgotten – from the obscure, one of a kind reclamation projects to classic American muscle cars – they will fix them up and get them back on the road.

Rutledge is an expert at finding rare cars and George is a shrewd operator with an eye on the budget providing a much-needed counterbalance to Rutledge’s passion.

Their journey will take them off the beaten track, where they get lost in Southern flavors, meet eccentric characters and discover the heart of American car culture. Go along for the ride with two buddies on the ultimate road trip… saving America’s greatest, weirdest, and coolest cars.’

The aim of this series is not to find, restore then sell, its to find those long forgotten rides, which can be restored to their former glory.
One example is a 1964 Ford 100, left to rot for years, with another being a 1981 DeLorean submerged in hurricane Sandy.

Rutledge Wood, like a good detective, follows those leads until he finds that special ride……. it should make great viewing!

LOST IN TRANSMISSION will premiere on History Channel on Thursday, May 7, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
