Ford Release The World’s Best Rental Car: The Mustang GT-H

The Hertz Mustang rental car has now been re-released for 2016.

The original, released back in 1965, was a way for Ford to promote their Shelby Mustangs through the rental company Hertz.
The car model back then was the GT350-H, sporting black and gold stripes, which you could hire for $17 a day and $.17 a mile.
The problem was Ford soon got feedback people were regularly taking these to the drag strip for the weekend. Like, anybody would abuse a rental car?!?

Now we have the 2016 GT-H model, modelled on the current Mustang GT. First shown to the public in 2006 at the New York Auto show.
You get the same 5L supercharged V8 engine as in the current model, along with a new Ford performance exhaust. Hertz Edition emblems on the front fenders, Hertz Shelby GT-H sill plates and a numbered badge on each vehicle. You will also get the Ford Racing Handling Pack which include special tuned dampers, lowering springs, sway bars,a staggered wheel kit, 19 inch aluminium wheels, shall be designed vented hood, carbon fibre front splitter and rear spoiler, all included.
The car is only available in automatic, with only 140 being produced, available from Hertz’s ‘Adrenaline Collection.’

The latest edition will obviously be a future rarity, like the original models, so if you see a black and gold striped Mustang at your local dragstrip in the near future, you’ll know where it came from.
