Ford Parts In The 2017 ZL1 Camaro??

The pony car wars may now be over and probably have been for some time, as the LT4 engine has now half a Ford transmission.

Basically, the 10 speed automatic transmission was developed by both Ford and GM. A 10 speed automatic will end up on the 2017 SVT Raptor, Mustang GT350R and the new 2017 Camaro ZL1.

The new 10 speed automatic will be featured in 8 upcoming GM vehicles.

The whole concept is to produce a transmission that can handle high-end performance along with the duties of a heavy truck. We guess, a transmission that can do it all. It will also mean the transmissions can be produced in much larger quantities for a cheaper price.

Could this mean the end to the long manufacturer rivalry? In some instances, probably not, but the linkup will mean in the long run, ever better vehicles and that’s the whole point.
