The Ford Mustang GT Lands In India And They Like It.

India, just like any other country on the planet, has its muscle car fans. Now the Ford Mustang comes in right-hand drive, they too can enjoy the latest edition of the Ford Mustang.

This review over at ndtv.com goes through the edition that will hit the Indian shores and gives you a glimpse into what the Indian continent thinks about raw American muscle.

The car reviewed is the India spec. Mustang GT, which comes with a de-tuned 400bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine, right-hand drive and will be available in the second half of 2016.
The right-hand drive model has allowed the Mustang to enter many markets that in the past it was closed from, including India. Now there is a dedicated right-hand drive Mustang, all those countries are rejoicing in having their own dedicated muscle car.
This may also be known to the other muscle car makers. If the breed is to survive in the long term, it needs to be popular everywhere on the planet and that means building right-hand drive versions. If the current success of the RHD Mustang is anything to go from, the other should take note.

The main takeaway from the review is that the sixth generation, 2016 model is light years away from Mustangs of old. More refined, better powertrain and happy to work in the city or on the highway. being able to hit 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds also helps.

Ford and Mustang are holding up their side of the deal by producing a car that is still the muscle car for the masses, new and improved and available for everyone.

Who would have thought 50+ years on the Mustang is still turning heads.
