Here we have a incredible looking 1979 Pontiac Trans Am Y84 Special Edition Bandit with T-top delete. This example is 1 of 20 T-top delete hardtops known to exist as the special edition automatically came with a T-top. The car has also supposedly been verified by the Pontiac Historical Society.

As you can see the car comes in great shape for its year and is testament to the design as it still looks just as cool today as it ever has. The exterior of the car’s only downside in the cracked windshield and has a bunch of new parts from the front bumper to window trims to finish off the look. This Trans Am was originally painted black and is now gold.

The engine is thought to be a turbo 301 V8, but could possibly just be a straightforward 301. The transmission a TH 350. Both could do with being replaced by a more standard Pontiac 400 or 455 engine.

The interiors is in just as good shape with only minor repairs needed here and there. Overall, this Trans Am is in great shape and for its asking price would make a great driver for anybody out there. What do you think?
