Chevrolet Corvette ZR1: 1200bhp Hennessey Power

It seems Hennessey Performance are never content with letting a potent car pass by without adding some extra zing under the hood. The Texas based tuners have now added their upgrade packages to the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Thus, producing the most ridiculously powered ZR1 upgrades out there.

The ZR1 is already a very potent machine, and the zenith of modern ‘Vettes from a power and performance point of view. So, with an already sturdy platform of power, Hennessey provide three packages in the form of the HPE850, HPE1000 and HPE1200, with the top one providing 1200bhp and 1066lb ft of torque.

In its basic form, if you can call it that, the ZR1 already has a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 producing 744bhp and 715lb ft. of torque. That’s 62mph in only 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 210mph. Add in the first upgrade package HPE850 and a Vette will be bulked up to 850bhp and 715lb. ft. of torque with additions bits and an ECU upgrade.

The HPE1000 package gives 1000bhp, while the top HPE1200 package, provides the full 1200bhp on 93 octane fuel. There are plenty of tweaks to the factory supercharger and car as listed below and all packages come with a three-year or 36,000-mile warranty.
