Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R Facts

The Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R is Chevrolet’s contender for the GT4 category which is expected to be a turnkey race car to compete against the likes of the Mustang, McLaren 570S and the Porsche Cayman.

The car was first announced in February and Chevrolet over its success will further boost regular Camaro sales.

The car itself will have a 6.2L LT1 dry-sump V8, Xtrac six-speed sequential transmission, racing limited-slip differential, adjustable Öhlins dampers, Ohlins coil-overs, front splitter, rear wing and Brembo brakes.

The cars themselves will be built by Pratt & Miller Engineering who themselves have built Corvettes for racing at Le Mans since 2000, with the new Camaro ready to race in IMSA’s Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge and the the Pirelli World Challenge.
