American Vehicles In The 50’s

This is America in the 1950’s. A cool regular Chevrolet, a dog pissing on the tires, a young boy with a crew cut, a bike, a small house and a great future ahead. Who would have thought back in ’55 or ’56 that this regular looking family car would be sought after so much?

To think that the bike got junked, the dog died, the house was sold, and the boy grew up to have a big gut. But the car, oh the car lived on in many ways. Yes it was sold a few times and maybe even given up on. But for the ones that survived they are works of art today. Nearly everyone wants one in some form or fashion. Doesn’t this picture bring back such great memories?
