1969 Plymouth Fury: Aunties Muscle Car

Aunts don’t always leave us the best of things, but in this case a Florida baked 1969 Plymouth Fury has now been passed on to its next owner, having spent the last 6 years sat in a summer home.

For the asking price of $8000 on craigslist you get a basic 318 V8 engine with only 39,000 miles. The engine bay seems clean and tidy, presumably only used for short trips.

The interior looks in much better shape than the paintwork, with a clean bench seat and everything seemingly intact and relatively clean looking. The ad. says everything seems to work from the interior, which you wouldn’t guess immediately from the outside condition of the car.

New items on the car are listed as – ‘a new carb, gas tank, sending unit, starter, rear shocks, braking system and master cylinder, all new hoses and belts, spark plugs, and fluids, new battery and alternator, new cragar rims and new tires.’

The car comes with the original build sheet and seems to be a one owner vehicle.

The $8000 asking price, maybe a little on the steep side, so there should be room for negotiation here. At the least, this Plymouth Fury looks quite solid and on the surface just needs the outside restoring to get back to being a daily driver.
