3 Plymouth Superbirds For Sale Compared

We usually feature just one muscle car at the time as a possible recommend, but as there are currently three Plymouth Superbirds ccurrently for sale on eBay at completely different prices, it maybe a bit of fun to compare the three for what you get for your money. It’s rare for 3 to come along at once, so if you are in the market for one of these birds, you probably have a rare opportunity of picking and choosing.
All three are 440ci. engined versions, 1970 and in either original or restored condition. the green one is hundred and $65,000, the red $125,000 and the yellow $175,000. All prices are either best offer or buy it now. I have listed the ‘Birds below in low to high asking price order.
1970 Plymouth Road Runner in Tor Red

This one is the cheapest of the bunch the listing is just the bare facts. Its numbers matching, with a new vinyl top. It doesn’t come with any broadcast sheet, but the ad. Does say that the engine and transmission has been rebuilt at some point in the past, but with no other information about the rest of the vehicle and its originality.
This one if you’re interested will need a lot more further investigation, especially to find out more about it back history. from what the listing tells us up to now, it’s an all original specimen.

This example was repainted in the 70s with the door jams, trunk and under hood still having its original paint. It comes with some replacement parts as it is driven occasionally. There’s precious little information that comes with the listing, but for an average mileage 440 Superbird it’s in fantastic condition and has all the original documentation including window sticker and build sheet.

This Superbird’s is the most expensive of the three and the only one that comes with a manual transmission. Being the most expensive you would expect it to to have the best attributes. It has the lowest mileage of the three with 36k original miles, one prepainted in the past and a Dana 60 (9 3/4″) Rear End.
As with the other two, its not in #1 concours condition but is a very nicely specimen with very little sign of wear.
So there you have the very barebones facts about each car, cost and information. The big question now is if you have the money or not, which one would you go for? Each one has its own attributes, plus and minus points, so the decision is really down to if you can afford one of these Birds, which color you prefer!
