1990 Ford Mustang LX: 7UP Edition
Linking a car up with another company as a limited edition promotional piece can definitely polarise people.
They either get it or they don’t.
Only 4,103 Fox body Mustangs came out as part of the 7-Up edition, this being one of 1360 made with the 5 L V8 five-speed manual.
The cars were planned as only 30 produced as a giveaway at the 1990 NCAA basketball finals. The event didn’t happen, so Ford banged out 5000 units as special editions, from LX convertibles. All of them came in deep emerald green clearcoat paint and white leather interior.
They also had 15 inch aluminium rims and a special value package.
This one has 32,335 miles on the clock and looks in great condition. The white leather is still in great shape as per the rest of the car.
The buy it now price of $11,100.00 is not unreasonable, but current bids at the time of writing are only half that, meaning it’s got interest, but even at just over $11,000 people are still unsure.
As a Nineties rarity this Mustang might need another decade before prices rise significantly.
Still a cool limited edition to own.
