This example of a 1972 Dodge Charger has been doing the rounds on the Internet recently for a few reasons.
Firstly, the car is a ‘One of None’ stock 72 Dodge Charger which has been made into a ‘Rallye Bee’ as the builders, thought there no performance packages for the 1972 year, so they would make their own.

“The car was finished late last year and only was able to attend one car show where it won the people’s choice award, and confused even the most hard core Mopar guys. It was a blast sitting there hearing guys ponder over the car and asking if it was the real deal. Ha ha, so I think it was pulled off with taste.”

The car has been professionally restored. Just check out the interior, exterior shots below. Arguably as good condition as any other restoration out there.

So the question is, is this a cool interpretation of a 1970 Charger or a car that is just a bit too quirky as is and should have been left in stock condition?

No matter which side you come down on, the builders have done a good job on this Charger, with period correct parts. the deciding factor is really if you agree with the ‘Rallye Bee’ angle.
