Yes you read it correctly, $950,000.00 for a one of a kind 1970 Plymouth Barracuda 440. The listing says that this Cuda is 1 of 17 V codes with a convertible top, 1 of 3 with this color combination and 1 of 1 with these options. The cars had a full concourse restoration, fully documented and certified by top Mopar guy Dave Wise.

Verification of its authenticity aside, this is clearly a top-notch Cuda and for this type of money you would obviously expect everything on the car to be first rate, which can’t be said for some of the images with the listing. It’s mainly the exterior shots which are a bit blurred, which at this price point should be spot on. The images you see here of the exteriorI have banged in Photoshop and given them a good deal of sharpening. However, the rest of the images give you a good view of the level of detail that’s gone into this restoration. Everything is as it should be looking like it’s just rolled out of the factory, then given a complete detailing overhaul.

As you would expect images of the interior and the underside look flawless and small details like the foot pedals being covered show the attention to detail here. Clearly, if you are serious about buying this vehicle you would ask for additional images, possibly a video of your own and your own individual inspection performed. Basically, the premises is that the Hemi Cudas are worth a few million, so these ultra-rare 440’s are the next in line. This sort of makes you wish you were around in the early 80s to buy one of these when they were virtually giving them away. For the lucky next owner of this one if everything checks out, you will definitely have a surefire investment on your hands.
