As a classic muscle car, this 1966 Plymouth Satellite seems to tick all the boxes. Fantastic condition, Hemi engine, numbers matching and a decent amount of documentation. It seems the kids are going off to college, so this is the reason for the sale.
The seller says that the interior and exterior are all original and un-restored, which means someone has definitely looked after this baby over the years. It even includes the original date coded painted steel wheels and factory spinner wheel covers, jack and and Goodyear Blue Streak spare. It seems that the only non-original parts is the reproduction exhaust with correct style H-pipe.
The engine has apparently been rebuilt by a previous owner, with all stock components. An original 426 Hemi V8 is one of the best you can get in a muscle car and this one looks exceptional. All gauges, lights and accessories are in working order. The underside images show the car to be as clean looking as the rest of the bodywork. If you wanted to be really picky, dollops of be a bit of surface rust on the leaf springs and inside the rear drums, but this is down to detailing work.
Loads of original documentation which include the original Certicard, broadcast sheet, trim tag, owners manual and Hemi glove box supplement, means that the only stumbling block now is the asking price. Anything with an original Hemi engine is going to hold its price long-term and examples as good as this one are starting to shoot up past $90k. Definitely an investment quality machine.
