The First 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Off The Assembly Line

It’s always a special occasion when the first and last of a vehicle rolls off the production line. In this case it’s the highly anticipated 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

The first of the new Challengers rolled off the Brampton Assembly line on Tuesday, destined to fulfil the needs of those who wanted a Dodge Demon or a Hellcat with a bit more under the hood. In the performance stakes the Redeye will sit at the top of the Challenger models using a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 producing 797 hp and 707 pound-feet of torque. This nicely sits between a regular Hellcat having 707 hp and the Demon with 840hp. The Redeye’s power will essentially equates to a 0-60 mph time of 3.4-seconds, a quarter-mile at 10.8 seconds/131 mph, with a possible top speed of 203 mph. All of which stands on top of a unique hood with two air scoops to differentiate the Redeye between the Hellcat and the Demon.

All the Redeye models will be built at Dodge’s Brampton Assembly plant, Ontario, Canada, with a predicting selling price of $71,350. Match this price up against other vehicle straight from the factory with these horsepower levels and you’re into supercar money. This means you’re getting a lot of muscle car and horsepower for your money.
