How Quick Is The Dodge Demon in Eco mode And pump gas?

The Dodge Demon has set the bar for muscle cars and production cars with a new 9.65 seconds quarter-mile time and 0 to 60 mph in only 2.3 seconds. Impressive numbers but the Demon will need 100+ octane racing fuel and some other optional extras to hit its full 840 hp.

Although there are caveats to the Dodge Demon’s top line power and performance, the car can still be driven straight from the factory and produce eye watering times. In Eco mode the Demon has 500HP and will use its trans-break it to lock the transmissions output shaft at launch and builds the supercharger up to 8 psi of boost. This mode also starts in second gear. This produces a quarter mile time of 11.59 seconds. Not too bad for a 4,280-pound curb weight.

If you compare this time to the likes of an Giulia Quadrifoglio with 505Hp doing 12.1 seconds or even an Audi R8 V10 doing 11.8 seconds with 4 wheels, the Dodge is producing quite impressive times.
