Where there was once a huge massive hole in the National Corvette Museum jeopardizing the whole building as an entity, the museum has now turned the disaster around, displaying the cars concerned either repaired or in their wrecked state for everyone to see.

The sinkhole which claimed eight museums cars, has now been filled in and is now getting tons of popularity, not just to see the remains of the pit, but also the poor vehicles which took a dive during the sinkhole disaster.

Seven of the eight cars are now being displayed where the sinkhole once stood. Five of the cars could not be repaired, one totally fixed and another being restored by another museum. The eight cars came to a total exceeding $1 million.

Now you can even buy jars of the sinkhole dirt from the gift shop along with rocks.
A temporary exhibit also shows the security camera footage at the time the sinkhole collapsed, at present being seen by 8.05 million people on you Tube.

It just shows that out of any disaster can come benefits and it’s hoped that the National Corvette Museum will go from strength to strength. Not even the ground opening up can stop them!
