The World’s Fastest Challenger Hellcat Is Now Even Faster

While most people will be content with the 707HP produced by the Dodge Challenger Hellcat, this video shows that the boundaries are being pushed all the time with what this car and engine can actually output.

In this video High Horse Performance and DiabloSport Tuning show the results of their efforts to tweak and fettle the Hellcats onboard computers, along with other upgrades to bring the aptly dubbed, ‘Topcat’ into the nine second arena down the quarter-mile.

Most of the hurdles have come from the transmission controlling the power output. this has been tweaked along with the factory supercharger, raising the boost from 11 to 18 pounds.
A nitrous 125hp outlet kit with Q16 addtionsa means the Topcat now reaches 1,000HP.

All this has brought in a quarter-mile time of 9.467 Seconds at 145.50 MPH.
Maybe with ideal condition, 8 seconds is possible in the future. We wait-and-see.
