Why the LS Engine Is So Great.

It seems that if you want to swap out your engine for almost any car these days that wants to see some V8 action, the de facto standard answer will be to use an LS engine, but why?

As the video states, they make a lot of power, there are light and they’re cheap. So you have the option of getting one from the junkyard or even one new for around $3-$4000. You then have around 400hp as a basis for building up in any way you like.
