What’s In Store For The 2019 Shelby GT500?
Ford announced earlier in the year that they will be releasing the most potent Shelby GT500 yet, but details up to now have been thin on the ground. Plenty of guesswork has come out based on test vehicle sightings, so we thought we would throw our 2 pence worth into the mix.
Official details are very thin on the ground at this moment, but at least the likelihood is a 700hp+ machine. A launch date of January 2019 at the Detroit Auto Show is also likely. The video below goes over many of the possible options for the GT500 based on current sightings and leaked information.
The Chevy ZL1 and the Dodge Demon will be obvious comparisons on release, with more than likely the car slotting into the mix with comparable horsepower to probably a Hellcat and the handling of a ZR1. All guesswork and hearsay at this point, but enough to whet the appetite of anybody interested in buying the latest model.

5.2-liter V8, cross-plane crank, 710-horsepower with 650 pound-feet of torque engine.

Three cool modes to play with – Weather, Launch Control, and Drag Strip mode.
