The US Marshal earlier this month fielded its Blood Muscle Auction, with nine super rare muscle cars under the block.
The auction was arranged from assets seized in health care fraud and featured rarities such as a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a 1971 Plymouth Hemi Cuda.
All the cars going under the hammer were super rarities and according to the New York Times , the auction brought in $2.5 million, with an average price for each vehicle being $277,000.
The highest price went to a 1970 Plymouth Superbird with a 426ci. Hemi v8 for $575,000, a bunch of Yenko Chevrolets fetching over $1 million, a Yenko Camaro at $315,000, a Yenko Nova – 1 of 37 for $400,000 and a Chevelle 454 going for $237,500.
The vehicles came with additional parts which were understandably guarded throughout the auction by United States Marshals.
