Keeping an eye on all the muscle car auction sites is a daily task here, so we mooched over to the Mecum auction website to see what they had on offer.
We expected a few gems as usual, but we didn’t expect five Chevelles to come up for auction at once, four 1970s models, one 1972 model which is a custom Chevelle wagon and 3 of the 70’s models being 454’s!
Even if you just want to look at the Chevelles for eye candy, you can’t get better cars to muse upon, so drink in all their visual glory and remind yourself why these cars are still so great today.
For some, the 1970s Chevelle SS 454 was the ‘king of the road.’ A hefty car with a hefty engine, the term muscle car arguably applies to the 70s Chevelle SS more than anything.
