The Shelby GT350 ‘Ole Yeller,’ inspired by P-51D Mustang aircraft

This special edition Shelby GT350, which was inspired by the P-51D Mustang aircraft, this quote for auction at the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture aircraft show’s Gathering of Eagles in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Aptly named ‘Ole Yeller,’ the cars inspiration was the record holding P-51D Mustang aircraft, which still holds the coast-to-coast record of 5 hours, 20 minutes set in 1985 and still flies today.

The past nine years have seen Ford produce a special edition Mustang to be auctioned and this years edition as the input from Brembo, Recaro and PIAA.
The powertrain is unmodified, still with the 5.2 L V8 and and Tremec 6-speed manual gearbox.

The car is to be auctioned at the Gathering of Eagles in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
