SEMA 2017 Show R3 Performance Products Ford-Licensed Mustang Bodies

It’s that time of year again where the SEMA show comes to town and shows off some of the best vehicles on the planet, including the finest of muscle cars. This year R3 Performance Products are showing off an option to provide officially licensed Ford Mustang bodies for 1965-1970. These body shells are made for those wanting to start a Mustang build project without having to source an original body shell and go through the cleanup and restoration process.

For those wanting to start a project building their own Mustang, they now can buy an off-the-shelf Mustang body shell without having to go through all the work of restoring an old shell. An older body shell may cost less, but may cost more in the long run after you have finished all the jobs needed to get it back in shape.

R3 offer three different body shells and styles in a coupe, fastback, pro mod or street mod versions. You can also have a full suspension fitted from basic up to full race kit. The company say that one of the advantages of the body shell is that it is structurally more sound than the original, with a more consistent and better welding process, along with saving you loads of time.
