We show many readers rides of the finished article, but not as many from start to finish when it comes to a restoration project.

This Chevelle was taken from stock to be restored to finished product as you see below.
Robert kindly sent us over 5 billion images of the car….well, it felt like that, so here are a select few of the process from start to finish.

‘That’s what I started with in 2011…’

‘Stock 283 mild cam 2 steed power glide transmission on the floor, Stock rear axle gears.’

‘I got it to this condition a year ago new motor new transmission disc brake conversion, all new stainless steel lines, new gas tank, new gas lines, all new suspension, new tires, new wheels.  I had my friend Doug Kates finish the body and paint.’

‘This is the Guy Doug Kates who painted the body work.’
