Rare 1 of 10 Dodge Viper GTC ACR Time Attack Up for Auction
By Dave Ashton
The just because the car industry seems at the moment slower than a Sloth after a heavy night’s drinking session, doesn’t mean there aren’t exciting vehicles out there. Some inventory lines which still have vehicles in stock are being pushed to the forefront as is with this example, a 2017 Dodge Viper GTC ACR Time Attack.
It was back in 2017 when the Dodge Viper ceased production, but since then a handful of special editions have been popping up from the 2013 to 2017 fifth-generation. This particular example is being sold through an online Barrett-Jackson auction which is number five of 10 and was originally commissioned by Woodhouse back in 2017. The car is expected to fetch a healthy sum not only due to its rarity, but also for its ridiculous muscle car sensibilities, being part of the ACR models and being only a handful of GTC T/A (Time Attack) models.
The car is virtually brand-new with only 130 miles on the clock, coming in the official color of Lurio Orange, with a black interior. The engine is an 8.4-liter SFI V10 producing 645hp, going through a 6-speed manual transmission, along with a huge front splitter and rear wing.
Until the advent of the SRT Hellcat and its variations, the Dodge Viper felt like the most vicious Dodge on the block. Which is why it would be great if Dodge could bring this beast back to life at some point in the near future. In the meantime examples such as this one are keeping the tried and tested Viper front of mind.
