Playboy’s 1968 Playmate of the Year AMC AMX

In 1968 Playboy was definitely in a better shape than AMC, literally. So what better way to get publicity than to link up with Playboy and have one of their cars as the ‘Playmate of the Year’ award.
Whatever your views on these type of publications, they helped in the sexual revolution of the 60s and were read not just for their pictorials, but for their reviews, fiction and for the renowned authors of the day, almost sedate by today’s standards.

This video tells the story of how this AMX was born and its travels over the years from the original 1968 playmate winner and owner Angela Dorian (owned the car from 1968-2010) to where it is today.
