A Nice 1969 Pontiac GTO, But Needs Restoring

On the surface, this 1969 Pontiac GTO could be a steal at $12,000, but it doesn’t exactly come with many details.
The ad. says in its brief description, ‘This vehicle needs a total restore, does run and drive, needs mostly cosmetic work.’
From the images it looks like this GTO is very solid and isn’t showing any rust, but it’s the concern that the statement says, ‘total restore’ but also, ‘mostly cosmetic work.’
It could be that the bottom has fallen out of the thing, not shown on the images, but going off what we can see, the car looks like it’s in good shape and if it does run and drive, the engine may need a slight rebuild, but at least, not a replacement…..maybe.
The interior looks in good condition, apart from the dash, which looks like it may need replacing.
Having a quick scoot round eBay, a prime condition ’69 Pontiac GTO is going for around $39,000, which means even if you throw $10,000 at this, you could still walk away with a profit, again, maybe.
